Thanksgiving Recovery

Well it's time to go on that diet now! Ha!  We better work fast so we can eat everything for Christmas.  Can you see that we are all in a hurry?  Life seems crazy sometimes so, keep it in perspective.  Here is one perspective.  Most of the things we spend so much time worrying about don't matter.  What really matters is eternity.  How are you preparing for it?  Take time to concern yourself with what is most important.

Help!!!!

Haha!  The last minute preparations for Thanksgiving are crazy!!!  Shopping and cleaning and repairing things are flooding our lives.  Be sure you keep up with "God's Word for today".  I know it always helps me stay grounded.  The countdown is on! Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

Give Thanks

It's Thanksgiving week!  This is the time for you and I to thank God for all He has done for us. What are the ways that you have purposed in your heart to do that very thing?  Is it prayer with your family on Thanksgiving Day?  How about helping those in need.  How about a testimony of what God has done for you.  Whatever it is, make sure it's done with a heart of thanksgiving this week.  Hey, how about leaving me a comment to let me know your visiting my blog.  May God bless you and your loved ones as you celebrate this year.  Have a great week!!

What a week!

What a week!  We have been so excited about what God has been doing at "God's House".  There are so many new faces.  It's always good getting to know new people.  If you make yourself friendly, you will have many new friends.  This Sunday find a new person and make them feel welcome.  You wont regret letting new friends into your life.  This Sunday I will continue the series, "God is able".  It's gonna be great!  Don't miss it!!!!

Great Day!

We had a Great Day yesterday on Appreciation Sunday!  We had a wonderful crowd.  There were a lot of familiar faces and many new ones.  The food was delicious and plentiful.  The music was fun and joyful.  The grown ups were enjoying the fellowship while the children were busy playing.  The weather was absolutely perfect.  It was a day designed by our Lord to bless us as His children.  Thank you for being here with us.  It was simply our way of saying thank you for your genuine love and support for the past year.  Great times are ahead for us.  This really is the beginning of "A New Season".  

Appreciation Sunday

We want you to know how much we appreciate your kindness to us.  We have been the pastors of "God's House" for over ten years.  The progress we have made as a church has been immeasurable.  Tough times require tough people.  Toughness is determined by how much you can "stand".  The word tells us in Eph. 6 to "stand therefore"!  So keep on standing.  I know that God is faithful to help those that keep on fighting for the "Kingdom of God"!  Don't give up.  God is with us!  Watch and see what "The Most High" will do on our behalf.  See you this Sunday 10a.m. !

Going Up?

Are you ready if Jesus were to return today?  That's what we are dealing with in our services right now.  If you want to know more about the coming of Christ and the current world crisis, then be sure to be here for the next few weeks.  You are going to grow in knowledge and in understanding by getting this overview of bible prophecy.  It's time to get ready for Jesus to return!!!

Tough Times

We live in tough times.  In these moments, we have to know where to turn for the answers.  The Word of God has the answer to every problem we will ever face.  Be in the services this Sunday and you will receive the insight and revelation you need!  We all need the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  God has your life in the palm of His hand.  Psalms 37:23 tells us that our very steps are ordered of the Lord.  Don't be fearful of the future.  Find out what will happen...The end...is near. 

Get Ready!

This Sunday we are going to discuss your "brighter day".  In the message we will discuss bible prophecy and what it means to you.  The stock market is doing exactly what our God has ordained.  Do you want to know what to do?  Be in service this Sunday to get a good idea!

A Great Day!

What a wonderful day!  God is always good!  He wants to bring you from your "new season" to your "due season".  There is an appointed time for you to bring in your harvest.  Have you sown good seeds?  Have you been kind?  Thank God for His goodness.  He has a plan.  His plan will work.  Just put your trust in Him.  Let Him lead you into your due season!  This coming Sunday we are going into "a brighter day".  Don't miss it!  See you then.

A New Season

What a Great Day!  Thank you for the tremendous show of support.  It was wonderful to see the church filled with people who truly love Jesus with all of their hearts.  So many of you met Polly, myself, and my sons at the end of the service today.  Your words of encouragement mean so much to us.  We love you so much, and We appreciate every one of you for being strong in these past months.  We are so excited about what God has done and what we know He's going to do!  We look for our Lord to do great things again this week.  Invite a friend and let's see them all come to Christ.  This is a powerful time for the Kingdom of God!

God is Moving!

I tell you what, Polly and I are so excited. God is really blessing us and using us more and more.  Last week we were on TBN. We were able to share some of our testimony with the viewing audience.  After the show, prayer request started to pour in from people who have been struggling and needing help.  We are praying for those people and can't wait to hear some of their praise reports!  God is pouring out his spirit.  We had a great service today at God's House!  I can't wait to get back next week because God is doing a new thing.  Hope to see you there!

P.S. There is only going to be one 10:30-am service next week at God's House.

9/11

As many of you know today is the 7th anniversary of the 2001, September 11th, attacks on our country.  Join with me as we keep the families of those who died in prayer.  I know that God will give them comfort in their time of pain.  Also, let's keep our troops and their families in prayer as they continue to defend our country.

Church Tomorrow

God is always faithful to bring us through the most difficult of times.  In His grace and mercy, He continues to make provision for us.  No matter your circumstances, God will supply all of your needs according to His riches  in glory.  He is not short on supply.  He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and He will meet your every need.  He is not subject to the storm.

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." Ephesians 3:20

Hurricane Gustav

Hey Everyone,  due to the impending threat of hurricane Gustav, church will be cancelled at God's House this Sunday (08/31/08).  Please join us as we pray for this storm to dissipate and for everybody's safety.  I feel it very important that you leave the city and get out of danger.  Also, Please pass the word around about this blog so that we may stay in contact with everyone.

A New Beginning

We are so glad to be back!  The songs today were a reflection of our hearts.  Jesus truly is "The Lighthouse".  The key to victorious living is keeping your eyes on Him.  We are "Going Through" the tough times and into the season of blessing.  I've heard it said,"if your going through hell, don't stop, keep going!"  That is a great motto.  That is the message of hope that we received today.  Don't ever give up.  Your miracle is just ahead of you.

Partnership

We had a Great week!  People were ministered to and blessed.  We learned that together we can do much more than we can do alone.  Polly's song was so inspirational.  "He is here" is a message that we all need to remember.  Jesus said "I will never leave you nor forsake you".  Be encouraged today because He is with you to make certain you succeed in all that you do.  He loves you so much.  Take a moment and read God's word for today.  It refers to David in the cave at Adullam.  He was alone, discouraged, and running for his life.  In those circumstances, God brought to him people who were in debt, discontent, or in distress (I Sam. 22:2).  The Church is to be the place of refuge for the hurting.  I love the phrase God spoke to me riding in the car a year ago, "Hurting People Need a Healing Jesus".  We surely do.

  

Awesome Day!

We had an Awesome day today!  God is a faithful God.  It was so good to see all of your smiling faces.  We were overwhelmed at your reception.  You guys are "The Greatest".  This is just the beginning of powerful things that God has planned for us.  It is truly a new season, a new day.  We can't wait to see you again.  In the mean time..... keep in touch right here.

Looking Forward

We are looking forward to being with all of you again.  God truly is AWESOME!  I know He has many great things ahead of us.  If you continue to "trust in the Lord with all of your heart, lean not to your own understanding, in all of your ways acknowledge Him,  He shall direct your path".  We are looking forward to those miraculous things He has in store for us.  Keep on believing and He Will bring it to pass.  The season of blessing is on the way!  

Step by Step!

Today we ministered at "The Journey Fellowship Church".  It was awesome to see God move in such a great way.  It was such a blessing being over there, but we are looking forward to being with all of you at "God's House".  It wont be long now.  Hang in there!  In the mean time..... you can keep in touch with me here.

To all of our friends who have fought for us in prayer and support, a HUGE thank you!  I'm finally moving into the age of technonogy!  I figured I could cut down on my phone time and still communicate with everyone.  We can't wait to come back to the "New Thing" God is doing.  We're believing God to do great things.  Keep praying and I know Jesus will carry us through!
